We gave this place another chance about a year later, and it has been consistently good--a huge improvement! The food and service has been much better! Yay!
It's been a while since I'd visited Docs and thought I'd grab some dinner there on Friday night. The initial issue was trying to find a place to park. The parking lot is oddly shaped and there's not a lot of street parking. Once in, we were greeted quickly and seated. It was a little tight as we got a table between two posts in the middle of a dining area. They had a good selection of beers and other beverages, and we ordered some pretzel sticks with stone ground mustard and cheese dips. They came out quick considering how busy it was and were good but the cheese sauce was a little runny. We ordered a turkey Reuben and a pulled short rib grilled cheese sandwich. Both were good. The short rib grilled cheese came with a nice au jou . So good. I had intended to get dessert but the dinner was so filling I just had no room! All in all a really good place to go, with good service and good food.
Consistently good food with fast and friendly service. Great for the whole family or a date night!
Went a couple of weeks ago on homecoming night. It was busy, but we were offered to sit outside with heaters. The outdoor area is amazing! It took a little bit for our server to come over, but another staff member jumped in to help him which was very appreciated! I LOVED my wrap and my parents said the other food was good! There was a lot on the menu I would love to come back and try. Also, great live musician!
Very cool bar! we were driving late at night and this was one of the very few places that were still open not too far off the highway. We stopped in and had some great local beer and some good food! The cheesesteak egg rolls and the nachos for an appetizer were both great. For dinner I had the hot chicken sandwich which was alright. The vibe was really great though and the service was super friendly! our waitress made honest suggestions which I always appreciate. Overall, a good vibe
Service was great. Kept drinks full very polite. Atmosphere is amazing. Inside dinning options of by the bar with tv s tables and bar seating. Outside patio large area full of tables and umbrellas. Ordered cream of crab soup. Very good 8/10. A little more salt or seasoning inside and maybe some crab on top. Very well priced. Ordered seafood nachos. Again 8-9/10. Excellent presentation huge scoop of seafood on top with a seafood sauce over everything. Could use seasonings on nachos themselves but still a great dish. Ordered steak and cheese egg rolls. 5 / 10. Presentation was ok just kind of on an oval plate. Taste was just ok nothing special no great seasoning just a basic cheese steak egg roll. Came with spicy cayenne ketchup mayo dipping sauce. Over all. 8-10 spot to eat. I recommend to anyone. Burger choice, sandwich choices seafood choices. chicken pork beef and seafood.
Food is excellent - we highly recommend the fish tacos, burgers/sandwiches, wings, and pub chips. Great selection of local beer. Service is good with reasonable wait times. Sports bar area is very lively with lots of screens and seating, and there is also a traditional restaurant seating area away from the sports bar for families. Outdoor eating also available. Highly recommended!
We had to stop for lunch heading home from a trip - found this place on yelp... both of us enjoyed our meals .... Food arrived hot and fresh - food is very filling we could not finish it all. Not a lot of spices on either dishes and bread with the pasta came grilled but with noting on it. The dining room area was cold. The waitress was friendly but not attentive... food took a while to arrive considering the place was nearly empty but it was hot - so worth the wait.
Another great lunch at this local eatery. Fresh ingredients, great service , homemade flavor and pride in every bite. I ordered the blackened rockfish tacos. They came with homemade Coleslaw, guacamole, sauce, Pico de gallo and sour cream on corn tortillas. A wonderful lunch in a great atmosphere. The restaurant was popular for lunch in a Wednesday which should tell you it's a local favorite. A wonderful little gem in this beautiful community. Trust me you will love it!
